Plans to Prosper offers a range of services, including educational consulting, advocacy, and transition planning. Our team works collaboratively with families and schools to develop customized plans for each individual's unique needs.
Tonya Schweighofer is a highly experienced and accomplished education professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has held a range of diverse roles. She began her career serving students as a special education teacher, Dyslexia teacher, and Vocational Adjustment Coordinator in a large ISD. For over a decade, she served as a district administrator in charter schools serving students across the state of Texas, where she served as a Director of Virtual Dyslexia and Section 504 Services and Associate Director of Special Programs and Special Education.
With experience in traditional, virtual, and private schools, as well as homeschooling, Tonya has a comprehensive understanding of the education landscape. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education with a specialization in Generic Special Education, as well as a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Tonya is also a holder of Texas Educators Certificates for Principal, Elementary Education, and Special Education, further demonstrating her deep expertise in the field. Tonya is a member of the Council of Parents, Advocates, and Attorneys (COPAA) and adheres to their Special Education Advocate Voluntary Code of Ethics, which can be found here.
Tonya's unwavering commitment to excellence and passion for empowering students to reach their full potential is evident in all aspects of her work. She is dedicated to supporting and educating families and schools for the success of individuals with special needs.
